  • Resistance to change: Some members of the group may be reluctant to adopt new technologies or working methods.

GDSS procedures:

The procedures involved in a GDSS comprise several phases that guide the decision-making process:

  • Brainstorming: The aim is to draw up a diverse list of possible solutions to a specific problem, whilst encouraging creativity.
  • Organising ideas: The ideas generated in the previous phase are refined and organised.
  • Evaluation of ideas: The level of consensus on the options presented is determined.
  • Analysis and exploration: This ensures that all members of the group have a shared understanding of the ideas and decisions.
  • Information management: The data and documents generated during the sessions are managed for future use.
